"Django Reinhardt (1910-1953) may well be the most famous jazz guitarist of all time. His music had an enormous influence on the swing-musette style, and in 1934, with violinist Stéphane Grappelli, he founded the Quintette Du Hot Club De France, a jazz ensemble for string instruments.
